Daniel Pinneker wins age group title of Men’s 400m freestyle - 2011 German World Selection Trial
Daniel Pinneker of SSG Pforzheim has captured the age group gold medal of the Men’s 400m freestyle on final day of the 2011 German World Selection Trial.
The 11-year-old German swimmer claimed the title of the distant freestyle swim, by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 45.71 seconds. He was almost three seconds ahead of his following swimmer, Johannes Hintze of SV Wfr. Brandenburg, who touched the wall in
a time of 4 minutes and 50.20 seconds for the silver medal. Hintze was followed by SSF Bonn’s Josha Salchow, who touched the wall for a bronze, by producing a time of 4 minutes and 55.57 seconds.
Arti Krasniqi of SG Elbe and Jeremy Diem of SSV Ulm 1846 followed them on the finishing wall, by completing their swims in 4:56.09 and 4:56.75 minutes, respectively.
Moments later, Steven Kambach of SSV PCK Schwedt and Justin Speer of SC Chemnitz von 1892 appeared on the wall, finishing their swims in the sixth and seventh fastest time of 4:56.75 and 4:58.64 minutes, respectively.
After a few minutes, the 12-year-old Moritz Walaschewski of SG Schwimmen Münster conquered the gold medal of the same event in his age group category, posting a time of 4 minutes 27.24 seconds. The 12-year-old swimmer was almost 2.5 seconds away from the
second fastest finisher, Jonas Reinhold. SV Nienhagen 1928’s Reinhold occupied the podium for the silver medal with a timing of 4 minutes and 29.88 seconds. Bjorn Kroniger of SV Blau-Weiß Bochum 1896 settled on the podium for the bronze medal, producing a
time of 4:32.06 minutes.
Jonah Irle of SG Siegen and Franz Kolbe of SV Eisleben were sighted as the fourth and fifth fastest swimmers, by touching the wall in a time of 4:32.29 and 4:34.47 minutes, respectively.
They were followed by SC Chemnitz von 1892’s Paulus Schon and Swim-Team Elmshorn’s Thore Bermel, who touched the wall in a time of 4:35.33 and 4:36.05 minutes, respectively.
In the same event in the Women’s category, 11-year-old Lisa Mercedes Kohler pocketed her age group gold medal, with a timing of 4 minutes and 45.08 seconds. She was almost four seconds ahead of Deborah Michael, who secured the silver medal in a time of 4
minutes and 49.34 seconds. They were followed by SSG Saar Max Ritter’s Anabel Ivanov, who stepped on the podium for the bronze medal, posting a time of 4 minutes and 50.43seconds. The fourth fastest spot was secured by Charlotte Wendlandt, who touched the
wall in 4 minutes and 50.87 seconds.
The arena admired the splendid swims of junior swimmers, trying to attain a podium finish. The championship will conclude after the completion of all the scheduled swimming events.
