Daniel Ricciardo aiming to perform better in Qualifiers and raceday at Suzuka circuit – Formula 1 news
Hispania Racing Team driver Daniel Ricciardo is aiming to put on a good performance in the qualifying round and raceday of the 2011 Japanese Grand Prix, which will take place on October 9 at the Suzuka circuit.
Ricciardo said that at the moment it is important for the team to show better performance on the grid in the rest of the 2011 Formula 1 season, as their results in the championship battle are still not satisfactory.
Talking to reporters, the Australian driver commented, “I've still got to put it all together. We've managed to do a good race at some points and a good qualifying at some points, so I know that the capability is there to do it. I've just got to make Saturday
and Sunday good days.”
He went on to mention, “I'll make the most of tomorrow's sessions and try to learn as much as I can and try out new lines. A lot of the corners are cambered and banked, so you have to observe others a lot here to see what the best line is.”
The Spanish squad has been unable to perform better on the grid in the ongoing season so far. The team drivers blamed the unsupportive role of their F111 car for their below par results in the season.
