The Australian driver delivered some remarkable performances during this year which mainly include his sixth place in the qualifying of the Bahrain Grand Prix. However, he has unfortunately struggled in most of the races and could only secure 18th
place finish in the drivers’ standings with 10 points. Additionally, he was 6 points behind his teammate, Jean-Eric Vergne.

In addition, he said that even though they didn’t have the fastest car in the field, but they still tried their best to attain good results. He also said that they are currently looking forward to make some necessary step-ups in their car so as to come up
stronger in the coming season.
“Progression was one of them; I felt like I was definitely learning throughout the year,” Ricciardo told the official Toro Rosso website. “Experience, lessons learnt ... so on paper it probably doesn't sound like much but I know for next year I can put it
to paper now.”
“I learned a lot, definitely, I feel I'm much better for it. We didn't have the quickest car all the time and we had to try and find some other solutions at times which made us understand a bit more and I think it will serve us well for next year,” the 23-year-old
added.
The Faenza based team is targeting to make the necessary developments in their car during the winter testing in order to attain better results right from the start of the next season and it will be exciting to see how Ricciardo performs alongside Vergne.
