Daniel Ricciardo hopeful of getting impressive results for Hispania Racing Team – Formula 1 news
Hispania Racing Team driver Daniel Ricciardo has said that he is hopeful of getting impressive results for his current team one day.
Ricciardo added that he wants to become the best driver of Formula 1 sport in future and that is his real wish.
Talking to reporters, Ricciardo said, “I think that will come with time in the car. If I could manage to sneak out a personal best result or edge out Tonio and the Virgins in a few races that would be a strong result. I think that for the last few races
of the year I can really start to push and aim for it.”
He went to mention, “I think I drive with quite a lot of finesse. I guess that is what has got me here. Personally, I would have picked Australia as my first race but I have always said that if it wasn’t there, then Silverstone would be the perfect place
to make my debut.”
The 22-year-old driver, who made his debut in Formula 1 racing for HRT in the 2011 British Grand Prix, drove Narain Karthikeyan’s F111 car during the Silverstone race for the Spanish team.
The team driver stated that he wants to learn as much as he can, because he said that it is a perfect time for him for learning various aspects of Formula 1.
Apart from that, the Australian talked about his teammate Vitantonio Liuzzi and mentioned that he has proved he can get better results for the team in the ongoing season. He added that he thinks it is difficult for him to beat Liuzzi in the second part of
the season, as the Italian driver is more experienced as compared to him at the moment.
In the Hungarian Grand Prix, Ricciardo stayed at the Hungaroring race circuit until the end of the race and ended up at the 18th position for HRT.
Let’s see how Ricciardo performs in the upcoming race weekends of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
