Daniel Sturridge is a former Manchester City player who currently is signed with Chelsea. It was widely believed that his move away from City and over to the Blues was a bad choice to make. Sturridge was part of the first team at Man City. He is more than
a capable striker, but his move meant that he is more than likely to warm the benches instead.

Sturridge played in twenty-six matches and he found the net four times. The bosses were impressed and offered
Sturridge a new contract. It appeared to be a good offer as he was still inexperienced and quite young at that time. He instead chose to move over to the Blues. He must have known that the playing opportunities with Chelsea would be limited. But, maybe the
financials involved were attractive enough for him to be ready to pay the opportunity cost.
There isn’t much to write about his stay with Chelsea. However, after he was loaned off to Bolton in the last season of English Premier League, Sturridge has surely redeemed his career. He scored an impressive eight times from his twelve appearances for
the club. That has brought him back in to everybody’s radar. He has made a strong claim to be regularly involved with Chelsea. But, it is yet to be seen if the new manager with the club shares the same sentiments or not.
It is believed that Bolton are interested in retaining the striker by offering him a contract. Stoke is also hopeful that a chance to feature in the UEFA Europa League might be attractive enough to lure the player. Sturridge isn’t expected to play much of
a role in Chelsea’s fight for the coming edition of UEFA Champions League. Along with other clubs, West Brom and Newcastle United have also shown interest in the striker.
The dilemma that Sturridge now faces is that all the clubs to have shown their interest are not as big as he would like them to be. He is too capable a player to sign for a smaller club. Moreover, he has been tagged with a price of £6 million. This is certainly
very low if we compare it to the £20 million price tag of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102. Andy Carroll has a price line of £35 million. £6 million is definitely a paltry amount and a bargain for any of his buyers.
Sturridge must be ruing his decision to leave Man City. Leaving Eastlands meant that he delayed his growth process by a year as he did not get the much needed match practice.
Chelsea will be looking to bolster their attack in this summer’s transfer window, meaning he is as much likely to be out of action as he was last season.
Bolton or Newcastle should suit the player more. These are decent outfits and can challenge for top honours. If he continues to impress, he will definitely get a call from a bigger club.
Sturridge has choices to make this season, but he has to make sure that his time around he finds the back of the net.
