Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has insisted that his side is hopeful of an improved season next term. The attacker is extremely satisfied with his performance last season and is looking forward to continuing with the goalscoring form.
Sturridge had a brilliant start at Liverpool as he netted a stunning 10 goals in 14 league appearances for the Reds. The player was the main reason, along with Philippe Coutinho, that Liverpool ended the season on a positive note after a slow start to proceedings.

The 23-year-old admitted that the side should be challenging for major honours next season and is happy with the signings the club has made thus far in the transfer window.

Sturridge stated that the club’s main target next season should be to do well in the English Premier League and to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. He is satisfied with the work Brendan Rodgers has been doing at the club.
“So the main aim for next season and the seasons ahead is to try and help the team do well in the Premier League. I'm sure with the philosophy that the manager has, we'll be able to do that,” he concluded.
