Chelsea striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Sturridge-c10076 has denied reports that he recently demanded an improved contract and insisted he remained committed to the Blues.
Sources revealed that the 22-year-old striker was apparently not happy at Stamford Bridge and had demanded an improved contract. Sturridge, who currently has two years remaining on his contract, denied the rumours, claiming he was perfectly happy with the
London club.
Sturridge said while speaking to reporters:
“I love playing for Chelsea. Some of the stuff I've read about me asking for a contract is not true.
I've not spoken to the club to ask for a new contract, or told them I'm unhappy. I'm just doing a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, working hard.”
The former Manchester City forward insisted he was not worried about his contract with the Blues and instead was focused on working hard and doing his best for Chelsea.
Sturridge believed the manager Andre Villas-Boas had a big hand in his development and involvement in the first team this season. He praised the under-fire manager, who could be heading towards a Stamford Bridge exit if the Blues fail to win the clash against

According to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 boss who had helped him emerge as a first team player for both club and country. He admitted he was grateful to Villas-Boas for the regular first team opportunities, which had played a big
role in his development.
Sturridge continued:
“The manager has helped me a lot. He's playing me a lot so I can't complain. I've not had a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager do that for me before.
It's helped me so much because previously I've not had a chance to play week in and week out, except when I was on loan at Bolton.
To play at one of the best clubs in the world and start every week is a dream come true.”
For Sturridge playing at Chelsea is a dream come true and he insisted various times he was not heading for an exit any time soon. He intends to remain at Stamford Bridge in the long run and has not yet brought up any talks of a new contract; the Chelsea
fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
