Bolton Wanderers striker, Daniel Sturridge, has expressed his desire to go back to Stamford Bridge and play for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 FC. The 21-year-old was earlier loaned out to Bolton following the continued interest shown in him by the Trotters boss, Owen Coyle.
The striker has enjoyed a terrific loan spell at Bolton and has hoped to find a place in Chelsea’s starting line-up. He wishes to be back with the Blues for the next 2011/12 season, claiming that his performances at Reebok should be enough to win the manager’s
trust at Chelsea.
Sturridge was never a regular while he was at Chelsea and in order to get rid of that frustrating spell, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 U-21 international agreed to a loan spell with Bolton. At Reebok, Sturridge has enjoyed a purple patch, scoring seven goals from just the
10 appearances.
The former Manchester City man further added, "I am looking forward to coming back down next season and trying to win a place. Hopefully next season the manager will see me working hard and give me the opportunities to play games as a striker. It's great
to have this opportunity and it has been good to show Chelsea what I am all about."
The youngster was all at praise for Owen Coyle, who entrusted him with his job in every game which resulted in building his confidence ahead of the new season. He also thanked the fans at Reebok whom he regarded as a source of inspiration and confirmed that
he would never say ‘no’ if both the club and the fans want him back for the next season.
The 21-year-old concluded by saying, "I have had a few texts here and there, especially after scoring against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, but I've been trying to keep my head down and work as hard as I can for Bolton, so that when I do come back to Chelsea I will be ready
for every challenge that is in front of me."
Bolton are currently ninth in the League table with 46 points and will next be in action against Blackpool on Saturday, May 14, at Bloomfield Road.
