High hopes are pinned to the ten-year-old gelding who is trained by Richard Guest for owner Rakebackmypoker.com.
The son of Dansili, out of mare Last Look, already has a hat-trick in the bag, which he secured in the beginning of the season.
Rewinding to the start of this season, the runner raced under jockey Martin Harley in the Use Cash Not Visa At “London 2012” Handicap at Lingfield on 13th January,2012, where he successfully defeated, Regal Rave, by 1 ¼ lengths.
His victory continued into Kempton where he finished first by a tremendous margin of 7 lengths to, Emerald Royal, in the Back Or Lay At Betdaq.com Handicap on 25th January, 2012.
Teamed with Martin Harley again, he got held up in the rear but soon broke out and raced on the outside with a clear run towards the wire.
The victory that earned him the hat-trick took place on 3rd February, 2012 at Kempton in the Stay At The Wolverhampton Holiday Inn Handicap where he raced as a favourite with odds of 3 to 1.
Paired with jockey William Carson, he finished 4 lengths ahead of runner-up, Master Of Dance.
The gelding has maintained his consistency throughout the season but there have been minor setbacks.
Daniel Thomas triumphed at Lingfield in the Betfred “Still Treble Odds On Lucky 15” Claiming Stakes on 7th March, 2012.
Under the guidance of Carson, he chased the leading pair and switched towards the right with just one furlong remaining, where he took the victory in the last 100 yards by a head from evening’s favourite, Country Road. Today he will be coupled with Carson
again, with the hope of another terrific finish.
Tuxedo, the son of Cadeaux Genereux, out of mare Serengeti Bride, secured a victory at Kempton in the £32 Free At 32red.com Handicap on 19th March, 2012.
The Peter Hiatt trained seven-year-old gelding trained raced under jockey Luke Morris, where he acquired the victory by a marginal difference of ½ length.
The evening’s favourite, Daniel Thomas is expected to land the victory today. Based on his market popularity and remarkable progression, this win may be easily taken by the runner.
Tuxedo could give him a tough time on the track as he is entering with odds of 7 to 2 but Daniel Thomas will be keeping his eye on the prize.
