The Belgian international is confident of a return from injury in the final of the UEFA Champions League against Chelsea.

Buyten claimed that he is confident of being fit in-time for the final and is training hard to meet the target. The player admitted that it would not be easy as he has not played for some time but is willing to give his all.
“It's a target, and it's a motivating factor for me, although it won't be easy. I'll give it my all,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The centre-back also expressed his delight on signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich. He insisted that it is a great honour for him to extend his stay at the club and he is thankful to the club for all the support in recent
weeks.
Buyten added that it was always his dream to play for a club of the stature of Bayern Munich and admitted that he cannot dream of playing for any other side.
“I'm proud and delighted to be staying at Bayern. It's good to see that the club doesn't abandon a player who’s run into difficulties. You don't see that everywhere. It was always my dream to play for Bayern, and once you're at
the club, you're not really keen to play anywhere else,” he concluded.
