“I wasn't able to walk for almost seven weeks, and I even weigh less than 60 kg now, so my recovery is still going to take some time. I'm doing all I can to return as soon as possible, and I hope to play a game or two before the
end of the season,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Hamburg player insisted that he is eager to return to football and is hopeful of steady recovery. He admitted that it would have been great if he was able to face Olympique Marseille in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final

“I really wanted to play there, but I know it's impossible. I might travel with the group, but it depends whether I can train there. Let's wait and see,” he concluded.
