New Zealand’s veteran all-rounder and former skipper, Daniel Vettori, is quite satisfied with his post-captaincy life which is free of many tensions and stresses; however, he is always ready to guide his successor, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/LRPL-Taylor-c1849.
Vettori has revealed that he is leading a comfortable life after relinquishing the leadership role, and enjoying a good time in the team. He claims that he keeps his cell phone off and shares more time with his family.
Talking to the media today, the star spinner said, “Not being involved in all that, I thoroughly enjoyed it and it's nice to just be with the family and have the phone off the hook a little bit more than normal. That's continued on to playing and just being
able to concentrate on my own game.”
Vettori has pledged complete support to Taylor and all other young guys of the team, but not on the expense of his social life.
He told, “I still hope I'm helpful to Ross and some of the younger guys in the team and able to pass on some knowledge, but it's not sitting up all night or during the day thinking about other players and what you need to do for them and how to improve the
team.”
Daniel has heaped praise on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915 and hailed his captaincy skills, hoping that the youngster will form a promising future for Kiwi cricket.
After delivering tremendous batting performance against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2011, Taylor convincingly elevated to the post of captaincy.
Vettori opines that he has an intimate relationship with Taylor in terms of bowling as the both share some techniques and tactics. He avows that his national side is in good hands and he need not worry about it.
The all-rounder asserts that he can stay in action for longer as a player than he could do as a skipper. He avers that he is focusing on improvising his natural game.
The 32-year-old has represented Black Caps in 106 Test, 272 ODI and 28 T20I matches so far since his international debut in 1997. He has excellent records in both bowling and batting.
