Daniel Vettori to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League 4 – Cricket Update
Daniel Vettori has been named Captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League, starting from 8 April.
After leading the New Zealand side to the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2011, Vettori is all set to replace http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Anil-Kumble-c44737, who led the Royal Challengers in the last two editions of the Indian Premier League.
Vijay Mallya, RCB chairman, said in a statement, "Vettori is a highly experienced and respected leader and we hope to ride to the pinnacle of success this IPL under his leadership."
The competition will start when the Chennai Super Kings take on the Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on Friday. There will be 74 matches played among 10 teams in 45 days of action. Pune Warriors and Indi Commandos are the new teams which are included in
season four.

"Vettori’s unique ability to get players to perform as a unit and deliver more than just the sum of their parts, as he has done time and again with New Zealand, will be a big asset to any team," said Kumble.
