Royal Challengers Bangalore’s skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians, today, on May 27, 2011.
After suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first qualifier, the Challengers are scheduled to meet http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sachin-Ramesh-Tendulkar-c87800 and company in the second qualifier of the ongoing Indian Premier League, at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Vettori admitted that Bangalore bowlers performed below their weight in the previous game and asked them to deliver their one hundred percent as it is a make-or-break situation for the side.
The left-arm spinner described that despite being thrashed by CSK, the players are confident and ready to give their best.
"Team is in pretty good stead. We realised small things that went wrong in last five overs. We probably go with same team with slight improvement in bowling," Vettori said on the eve of the high-voltage clash.
The Bangalore bowlers have not performed up to the mark so far in the tournament, while Vettori’s performance has gone down due to injury issues. Zaheer Khan is yet to find his devastating form as well.
Expressing complete satisfaction over his team’s batting, Vettori did acknowledge that the side has some woes in the bowling department to ponder over.
When asked whether there will be any changes in the playing XI for the important contest against MI, the former Kiwi skipper added, "I think I will go with the same team. Chris (Gayle) and myself could target well in the eight overs that we will be bowling and it is hard to put too many runs. The players who have played in the last 15 games for us have performed well and probably I am to look at that.”
The skipper, however, clarified that he would take final decision about team composition after having a look at the wicket.
