Following a successful spell at Evian TG, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884 international has said that he is keen to stay in France and does not want to return to parent club Benfica
This season, 22-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Wass-c10100 has played every where for Evian TG. The youngster can operate as a right-back, right-midfielder and can also be a handy central midfielder which is the reason why he has now been selected by Denmark manager Morten Olsen
for the Danish side that will play in the Euros this June.
The young Dane joined then-newly-promoted Evian TG on a season-long loan from Portuguese giants Benfica and has ended a great campaign in which he has scored four goals and provided two assists in 29 Ligue 1 games.
However, the young player has now returned to his parent club following the end of his loan deal. Despite being under contract, Wass is not really keen on staying at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984.
While talking to O Jogo, the 22-year-old said that he is happy at France and though he is sad for never being able to play a game for Benfica, wants to revel in a great season for him and his club. Evian TG finished the campaign in 11th place.
Wass is also disappointed with the way Benfica treated him and says that only because of a good season in France, he was able to be in the national team.
“I hope to continue playing in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 because I’m happy there. It is true that I was disappointed at not being able to play at Benfica and I was disappointed with the way they treated me. But today, I do not want to hear about Benfica, because my good season
in France has allowed me to be selected (for Denmark).
On Saturday, in a friendly game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528. Reports claim that the Portuguese tactician was also impressed with Wass’ performances.
If Evian do not look to exploit the option of signing Wass permanently for just 3 million euros, some other club in France will definitely sign the player.
