Daniel Welbeck back in training and raring to go for Manchester United – English Premier League
Manchester United’s young striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Welbeck has come out and stated that he is fit to start for the club after suffering from a hamstring injury in the Red Devils 8-2 win over Arsenal a couple of weeks ago. Manchester United
totally decimated http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736.
United’s attacking prowess proved to be too much for a weakened Arsenal side which was put to the sword by Sir Alex’s team. Daniel Welbeck started against Arsenal and was instrumental in getting the first goal of the game which
gave United the lead in the first half but his evening turned sour when the English U-21 international had to be substituted in the first half due to a hamstring injury whilst he was chasing a long ball.
Sir Alex Ferguson initially said that Welbeck would be out for around about three to four weeks but the prolific striker has recovered from his fitness issues sooner than expected. Welbeck’s return to fitness is a good omen for
Manchester United as Javier Hernandez sustained a nasty leg injury against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 on the previous weekend as the Red Devils marched onto a 3-1 win against the Blues. As United gear up to face off against Leeds on Tuesday evening in their Carling Cup clash,
it will be interesting to see whether Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 gives Welbeck a place in the starting line up or even the bench.
Welbeck stated in his recent interview to the media, "I trained late last week and had a little rest on Sunday before coming back in again on Monday. I'm feeling good. I don't know the squad yet for Leeds but, if I'm called upon,
I'm always prepared to be there as I feel ready. I wouldn't be training if I wasn't."
The youthful striker also went onto shed some light on the rivalry between Leeds United and Manchester United by saying, "These games mean so much to the club and I think bringing the youth through for these matches is always a
big positive," he explained. "I hope quite a few of them get a chance to show what they can do. There's a lot of talent at Manchester United and I'm sure, if they get a chance, they'll showcase that talent."
Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping that Manchester United can avenge their F.A Cup loss against Leeds United from 18 months ago, which saw them bow out of the competition after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford.
