Daniel Welbeck praises Wayne Rooney as Manchester United prepare to take on Tottenham Hotspur – English Premier League
Daniel Welbeck came out in his recent interview and praised Manchester United’s star striker Wayne Rooney. Rooney almost bailed out on Manchester United last season when he revealed to the press that he was unwilling to sign a
new contract with the club as the Red Devils’ ambitions didn’t match his own plans. The club was as a result thrown into turmoil during the 2010-2011 season but Sir Alex Ferguson had a talk with the Englishman and convinced him to change his mind.
After recovering from Rooney’s tantrum and its ripples, Manchester United reproduced their traditional form in the English Premier League and blitzed towards their 19th league title as they wrestled the English Premier
League title back to Old Trafford from the defending champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
United also made it to the UEFA Champions League final where they faced off against Barcelona at the Wembley stadium. However Sir Alex’s men were dealt a stunning defeat by Pep Guardiola’s outfit in the end. In the summer, United
have added more men to their squad as they are aiming to overhaul the gap between them and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.

against West Bromwich Albion. Welbeck didn’t score in either of the matches but United still won the Community Shield by three goals to two and also recorded a 2-1 victory over the Baggies.
Welbeck is looking forward to his partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 in the new Premier League season as he said in his latest interview, "Rooney is one of the best strikers in the world and just playing with him means you’re always
going to learn so much. Our communication levels are really good - we speak to each other all the time during games and the stuff he says really helps you."
The young striker who is set to become a permanent fixture in Sir Alex’s plans also spoke about his enthusiasm in relation to being a part of United’s new yet young squad. He stated, "It's pretty exciting to be part of this squad
but the media's been hyping this new generation stuff up quite a bit. We're all just training as hard as possible and trying to improve in every single game. Hopefully we can build on the start we’ve made." United play Tottenham Hotspur in their next league
encounter which is set to take place on Monday, 22nd of August, 2011.
