The 1899 Hoffenheim defender reckons that last week’s draw against Werder Bremen was a disappointing experience as three points would have been great.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Williams-c10102 feels that Hoffenheim should have beaten Werder Bremen on Saturday, February 11, at the Weserstadion. The River Islanders found themselves behind as early in the fourth minute through Jannik Vestergaard’s goal but
earned appoint in the dying minutes courtesy a goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marko-Arnautovic-c24157.
The defender believes that his side performed exceedingly well away from home and were closing in on their first victory after the restart. He opined that the players were impressive at the weekend after some below par performances
recently and expressed his disappointment after ending up with only a point.
However, Williams is still looking forward to a place in Europe and is eyeing a top six finish at the end of the season. He claims that the team is certainly heading in the right direction and a win would surely give a lot of confidence
to the side. While talking to the official Bundesliga website, the 22-year-old further added:
“Drawing in the final minute was really bitter. We played really well despite all the problems of the past few days and weeks and we need to build on that. If we can, I'm sure we'll be heading in the right direction before long.”
On the other hand, the former Freiburg sweeper insisted that his side showed great character despite being away from home against the River Islanders. However, he reiterated the fact that Hoffenheim need to work hard on counters
and have to keep the nerves in the dying moments of the match.
“In terms of morale we made two or three steps forward. Unfortunately, as has often been the case this season, we weren't able to hold out for victory. We need to work on our effectiveness from counters,” Williams concluded.
Williams joined Hoffenheim in 2011 and so far has seven league appearances under his belt. The player will next be in action on Friday, February 17, at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166.
