The Azzurri midfielder has been in exemplary form in the current edition of the European Championships, and has taken time out to give advice to one of the most controversial figures in this edition of the European tournament.
De Rossi has had his share of controversy with badly timed tackles with malicious intent, and has been one of the most volatile players in la Nazionale squad of the past. However, the midfielder went on to state that he developed

he understood that young players tend to give into making rash decisions in the heat of the moment, but stated that he should take responsibility for his actions now.
The Azzurri midfielder went on to state:
“Mario can hurt any team and what counts is scoring goals. Is he an outsider in the group? I doubt that, though there are always some who are more in the thick of things. He looks fine to me, but at his age it’s normal that he
should start to take responsibility and be treated like the others. He’s becoming a man now.”

Turning attention to the suspense surrounding his next role for the Italian team, he stated that he was happy that Cesare Prandelli showed faith in him to deploy him in different positions, and stated:
“Cesare Prandelli has faith in me and he proved that by moving me to the defence. He makes me interpret my role in a different way and I like that. Where will I play against England? I don’t know yet.”
