Daniele Domenico Tirabassi of CORINTHIANS/SB/SP conquered the gold medal of Men’s 200m freestyle final on the second day of the 2011 Jose Finkel Trophy on August 31, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
The 23-year-old Tirabassi occupied the top of the podium by clinching the title of the four-lap swim in a phenomenal time of 1 minute and 50.61 seconds. His time was 8.61 seconds slower than the world mark of 1 minute and 42.00 seconds, set by Paul Biedermann

With his top fastest finish, the gold medallist was only able to out-touch his closest competitor, Rodrigo Rocha Castro of FIAT/MINAS, with a difference of only 0.16 seconds. Castro reached the podium for silver medal by submitting a nice time of 1 minute
and 50.76 seconds. In the same manner, Castro edged out his subsequent swimmer, Eduardo Seeger Duarte of C.CURITIBANO/PR, who remained only 0.02 seconds slower than him and settled on the podium with a third fastest timing of 1 minute and 51.78 seconds

seconds over Castro, who stood second with a timing of 53.63 seconds.
