The former sporting director of AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 has gone on to underline the key moments that shaped their season so far, and tracks them before the start of the season.
Fiorentina were one of the most proactive clubs in the transfer market with AC Milan being the other active club in the summer transfer market of 2012. Whereas, AC Milan parted ways with more than 13 players in the season, the Florence based outfit welcomed
more than 18 players within their ranks. The fact that teams usually draw up around 30 names for the entirety of the season, signing on such an amount of players meant that there was a total revamp at the club, which culminated in the foundations for the upcoming
season.
Whereas, AC Milan went on to part ways with the best talents of the team, which included the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Gamberini-c4728
and Valon Behrami with ample quality. They did exactly that by signing on players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luca-Toni-c22526.
The sporting director of the Florence outfit went on to comment that there was a need for the club to make amends and target a long term plan which would be beneficial for the fans, the team and the history of the club. He cited the resolve of the Della
Valle family to keep hold on to one of their best talents as the intent that the owners of the club had for the team.
Furthermore, he remarked that the club was honest with their followers which created a sense of harmony between the two parties, and went on to state:
“There were two key moments really – firstly when Andrea Della Valle said that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163 wasn't for sale, because people then realised we had great ambitions for this club. And then our willingness to be transparent, open and honest with the fans. It
was brought a feeling that day by day has grown to something beautiful.”
Despite heavy interest from Juventus, Fiorentina hung on to their star striker.
