Danmar Benny to triumph in the Grade OR Dobbins @ Shelbourne Open 525 on 2nd May, 2012
Domestic Lily, Danmar Benny, and Mister Glenard will race as collective favourites in the Grade OR Dobbins @ Shelbourne Open 525, which is scheduled to take place at Shelbourne Park on 2nd May, 2012.
The hounds will race with a winning shot of 3 to 1, and will compete against Tyrur Lanney, Fridays Scolari, and Bay Road for the purse of €500 over a distance of 525 yards.
Danmar Benny, son of Hades Rocket, out of Danmar Pudsy, is expected to excel in this race.
The young runner does not have a lot of experience, but he has exhibited an immense degree of talent since his career began on 21st January, 2012, where he finished fourth.
Whelped on 1st February, 2010, the hound bagged a victory in his second start of his career, as he defeated, Comeonthebanner, by 4 ¾ lengths at Galway. Since then, he has competed seven times at Shelbourne Park.
Potter trained hound finished sixth in the Grade OR Larry Dunne Open 525 Round 1 Heat 3 at Shelbourne Park on 28th April, 2012, when he completed the course in 29.34 seconds against the winner’s time of 28.47 seconds, but today he has an opportunity
to bring his best game forward.
Domestic Lily, daughter of Honcho Classic, out of Sion Sleek, is more experienced, and has competed at a variety of different tracks including Harold’s Cross, Dundalk and Shelbourne Park among others.
The Fagan trained b***h bagged a victory on 11th February, 2012, at Shelbourne Park in the Grade A1 Swords Prince @ Stud A1 525 Round 1 Heat 2, where she defeated, Longrange Ivor, by 1 length in 28.82 seconds.
Her performances faced a minor setback, but this race will give her an opportunity to stand up on her feet again and redeem herself.
Mister Glenard, son of Droopys Scolari, out of Lady Glenard, finished as a runner-up in his career start, as he was defeated by, Tailteann Gavin, by a short-head in the Grade OR Welcome To Shelbourne A5 525 at Shelbourne Park on 21st
September, 2011.
The lightly raced hound landed two victories, both of them at Shelbourne Park, which improves his odds of winning today.
On 21st April, 2012, he defeated, Solo Star, by 4 ½ lengths in the Grade OR Betfair Open 525 in 28.61 seconds, when he raced as a favourite with a chance of 2 to 1.
The speculation is that, Danmar Benny, might be able to finish first, followed closely by Domestic Lily, whereas Mister Glenard might finish in third place.
