PSV Eindhoven have expressed keen interest in bringing Ajax Amsterdam’s Mounir El Hamdaoui on a free transfer to Philips Stadion. However, the Amsterdammers technical director, Danny Blind, has ruled out the move by clearly stating that it is unthinkable
for his side to let go off the Moroccan ace for free.
According to reports in Eindhoven, the Boeren think that it is logical to demand a free transfer for a player who plays in the second team. Frank de Boer, De Joden manager, demoted the 27-year-old to the reserves squad towards the end of the 2010/11 campaign.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jan-Kromkamp-c17777 signed a contract with Go Ahead Eagles after seeing no future at Philips Stadion.
“We had a situation with Jan Kromkamp and we had to leave him on a free transfer”, Brands said.
On the other hand, Blind has clearly indicated that his side does not intend to release the 27-year-old who has an ongoing contract until the summer of 2014.
“It is true that PSV have expressed their desire to add Mounir to their ranks, but they have asked to sign him on a free transfer. It is totally unthinkable for us”, Blind was quoted as saying to the media.
The Moroccan International arrived at Amsterdam Arena only in the summer of 2010 and impressed everyone with his exceptional performances in the first-half of the season. However, his form dropped drastically once De Boer took over the head coach position
at Amsterdam Arena from Martin Jol in December 2010.
The technically gifted striker scored 13 goals in 26 appearances in the 2010/11 season, and 11 of those strikes came during the reign of Martin Jol.
The Amsterdammers are reportedly willing to sell the striker in the ongoing summer transfer market. Reports suggest that an offer in the region of 4 million Euros would be enough to lure the striker away from the Amsterdam giants.
