Danny Castillo vs. John Cholish fixed for UFC on Fox 3 – UFC news
Danny Castillo from California and John Cholish from New Jersey will take on each other on UFC on Fox 3 in May.
It will be a lightweight bout between the two as announced by UFC officials today.
Danny Castillo currently has 13 wins and 4 losses in MMA, and 3 wins and 1 loss in UFC, whereas John Cholish has bagged 8 wins and 1 loss and 1 win and 0 loss in UFC. The bout is expected to be held for the evening’s preliminary card.
The event, UFC on Fox 3, will be held at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J. on May 5. The main events will be televised on FOX while the prelims will be televised on FUEL TV. Also, among the main events is the Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz match.
Castillo is the member of Alpha Male, Urijah Faber’s team. He is currently looking forward to bad a winning streak of three consecutive fights. Castillo had his last two victories over Shamar Bailey and Anthony Njokuani, while his last defeat came at the
hands of Jacob Volkmann last August.
On the other hand, John Cholish is comparatively young in the industry. He earned his debut victory by beating Mitch Clarke in last year’s UFC 140 event. As of now, he remains winner of 8 bouts with 1 loss.
Both the American fighters are on top of their game right now. Putting both of them together is a great decision by UFC since they both can bring in loads of viewers. Danny Castillo is a heartthrob in California whereas John is a favourite of New Jersey.
