Danny Cipriani ruled out again
After being suspended for the following two Super Rugby matches, Danny Cirpriani’s future in Melbourne seems to lack assurance. This has come as a major blow for him and left his desire to give Rebels a good end to ashes.
Cipriani, who is the fly-half for the club was not included in the 26-man squad for the upcoming games against the Cheetahs and the Bulls, to be played in South Africa. These clashes are to be played two weeks from now.
Cipriani’s raging behaviour cost him a suspension by the Rebels; he breached the club regulations twice during his debut season in Australia. After staying out of the field due to injury in previous week’s loss in Sydney to Waratahs, Danny Cipriani also
missed the loss against the Reds this Friday.
This is a statement by the Rebels regarding Cirpriani's case, “Following meetings between the Rebels players, coaches and management, it has been decided that Danny Cipriani will not travel to South Africa.”
The officials added, “Danny will train with the other non-touring players over the next two weeks and will continue his community engagement with local clubs and schools during this time.”
Daniel Jerome Cipriani is a rugby union player for England is 23-year-old fly half and also plays as a fullback and centre. He has earned 33 caps and scored 214 points for London Wasps in his tenure from 2004 to 2010. After joining Melbourne Rebels, he has
earned six caps and scored 59 points, playing as the most crucial player in the team. His international credentials consist of seven caps and 49 points.
Danny Cipriani has already been on news in March, when he was found in a brawl in a nightclub. He was heavily fined for the act by Melbourne Rebels’ officials.
Another player, Richard Kingi, who missed the Queensland match because of the violation of the law in Sydney was however included in the squad to play against the Bulls and Cheetahs in South Africa.
