Danny Ellis and Jeff Klauk all set to tee off in the final stage of Q-School
Nervous times lay ahead of those who are trying to earn their PGA Tour cards via Q-School as the final stage is all set to tee off.
Danny Ellis is one of the many golfers who are making a bid for his PGA Tour card this season through the Q-School. The field at LaQuinta is all set to tee off with 152 golfers taking part in the event.
Ellis barely qualified for the final stage. Hanies City native managed to secure a tie for the final spot at Brooksville.
At one point in the last stage it looked as if Ellis will not be able to qualify for the final stage but his three birdies on the back nine helped him secure a tie for the 19th spot.
Jeff Klauk is another upcoming star making an effort to play on the PGA Tour. Jeff is a former NCAA Division II national champion. He secured his spot in the final stage by finishing 15th at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney.
Klauk has had his injury problems for the last couple of years but, at the moment, everything seems to be going well for him.
Although Klauk has a medical exemption on the PGA Tour for first eight tournaments, his top-25 finish this week will earn him a full tour card for the next season.
Danny Ellis and Jeff Klauk were exempted from the second stage of the PGA Tour, Q-School.
On the other hand, Marco Dawson of Lakeland could not make it to the final stage of the Q-School, as he fell short in the second stage of the event.
The PGA Tour, Q-School will be telecasted on the Golf Channel. Although there will be no live coverage, the highlights of the event will be shown.
Meanwhile on the LPGA Tour, Q-School Jackie Barenborg has made it to the final stage. Jackie finished 40th on the second the stage of the Q-School at Venice.
Barenborg has been playing on the Symetra Tour this season, where she finished with $11,040 on the money tour list.
