Danny Garcia scheduled to fight Zab Judah – Boxing News
Following his recent knockout wins over Briton fighter Amir Khan and Mexican ring legend Erik Morales, WBC and WBA light welterweight champion Danny Garcia is now scheduled to fight Zab Judah at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight will be
televised by Showtime.
Garcia currently stands as an unbeaten fighter with 25 wins and 0 losses in his bag, whereas Judah stands with 42 wins and 7 losses. While Judah might be a known light welterweight, he stands no chance to win against Garcia, which is the main why this fight
is being deemed as a mismatch.
A win over Judah would only add another name of fallen fighters to his list but would not give him any weight, as Judah is much inferior to Khan and Morales. After defeating the two best in the division, if Garcia wants to nail Judah then it will not be
a fruitful choice. On the other hand, this is an opportunity for Judah to reclaim the number one spot in the division. A win over Garcia would take him to the top once again.
“We gonna mix it up and give some different looks. I know he's definitely going to be looking out for the hook and trying to get out of harm's way, but we gonna mix everything up perfectly,” said Garcia when asked if Judah will be expecting his left hook
that has already knocked out the legends.
“Zab is a good fighter. I just feel like he's had his time. He wanted this fight, he demanded this fight, and now he's got the fight. Zab gotta back his words up,” he added.
For now, Garcia is looking forward to knock out as many opponents he can to make his name in the industry. For years the American unbeaten was underrated but following his win over Khan gave him the recognition he deserves. Now, Garcia stands as the best
light welterweight and a unified champion who is hungry to gain more power and recognition.
With Garcia’s strength and skills, it is hard to say if Judah can ever defeat him.
