Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy has gone on to entrust his faith in Martin Jol. Murphy strongly believes that Jol can help the side achieve new levels of success, without causing any problems at the club, or disrupting the style of play that the team have
developed.
Murphy has already worked with Jol, as the two were found running things at Tottenham Hotspur previously. However, based on this already developed relationship between the manager and the player, the thirty four year old feels that the tactics that Jol is
going to deploy at the club, are going to help it tremendously.
Murphy, when talking about Jol is quoted to have said:"I know Martin from my time at Tottenham”
” I know his philosophies and he’s a football man who wants to play the right way, which is important at this club with the type of players we’ve got.”

"It was important that the person who came in [to Fulham] was a football man – somebody who wasn’t going to change the philosophies of the Club and the way we play. He certainly hasn’t done that and he likes attacking football."
Jol has already started to show just what he is capable of. The manager helped the team cruise past NSI in a three goals to nil win, as part of the qualifying stages of the Europa League. As a result of that win, it now seems like the prime tactic that Jol
is going to deploy at the club, is going to be one which sees Fulham score a lot of goals.
Murphy seems to have already come to terms with that tactic and feels that, the team is bound to reach new levels of success in the near future.
The midfielder then went on to add: "I think he’d like to get us scoring more goals but I think it’s that delicate balance between keeping us what we are, which is a nice solid well organised team, and adding that bit of flair to move us forward."
Jol was appointed as manager of Fulham, following Mark Hughes’s departure from the club. The Dutchman has signed a two year contract at the club, but, should he manage to help Fulham achieve new levels of success, that contract is bound to face an extension.
Jol has already had a good run in, in the Premier League, back when he was in charge of Tottenham. As a result, the manger is not going to be wasting any time to get used to life in the league and will be looking to get the maximum out of the team since
day one.
