Danny Miguel will serve a three match ban after blaming the match official in Zenit St. Petersburg’s 1-1 draw against Anzhi Makhachkala at Petrovsky stadium on Monday
Zenit St. Petersburg captain, Danny Miguel, has been handed a three-match ban by the Russian Football Union following the attacking midfielder’s questionable and unjustifiable conduct with the match official.
The football union made their decision to penalize the former Rubin Kazan player on December 13 after deeply analyzing the situation and watching the videos of the sad incident.
The committee decided to impose heavy fine on the Portuguese International after he misbehaved with the match official at the end of the 19th round of the Russian Premier League between Zenit and Anzhi Makhachkala at Petrovsky stadium.
The press service of the St. Petersburg club has confirmed that Danny, who picked up a straight red card from after the incident, has been fined 100,000 Rubles after disrespecting Maxim Layushkin.
The Silence on the pitch, probably because of the fact that the league encounter was played without any spectators, helped Layushkin to hear every single word uttered by the Portuguese midfielder on the pitch.
However, Danny has apologized to the referee after the match, saying that he is feeling guilty after losing his temper on the pitch as it was an important match for the defending champions.
"For my part I am sorry because I failed to control my emotions. But I did not do it intentionally or I do not want to insult the referee. I offer him my sincere apologize." The former Sporting Lisbon man was quoted as saying.

"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 is a very emotional player and often reacts violently to what is happening on the field. He should be more disciplined and careful after becoming the team captain earlier this season.”
But now that the FTC has made their decision, Danny cannot take part in the upcoming league games against Rubin Kazan, Mordovia Saransk and Terek Grozny, unless he makes an appeal to the higher authorities.
