Dansili Dutch, Flying Pickets strong contenders for Golf And Racing At Southwell Handicap
Golf And Racing At Southwell Handicap will be a tug of war between Dansili Dutch and Flying Pickets. The 7f event has attracted eight fast and furious runners at Southwell on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
As per the plan, the class-5 meeting will get underway at 17:30 GMT. The runners taking part in the contest are: Dansili Dutch, Flying Pickets, Samasana, Daddy Warbucks, Siouxies Dream, Tweet Lady and Chapellerie.
The experts are anticipating a close clash between Dansili Dutch and Flying Pickets. Both contenders are determined to do some damage after a few reasonable performances recently.
Dansili Dutch regained her momentum on February 10, when she secured second place in the Tickets At southwell-racecourse.co.uk Handicap. Her decent performance came after a couple of poor performances.
David Barron’s trainee did a fantastic job, however, she remained slightly unlucky. The filly missed top slot by three quarters of a length.
An excellent performance would have boosted up her confidence to some extent. However, it is not going to be a straightforward trip for her.
Flying Pickets is also in good form these days. The three-year-old has been doing a fantastic work since the start of this month. On March 01, the bay gelding grabbed top slot by a nose in the Ladbrokes Mobile Claiming Stakes.
Maintaining good standards afterwards, he did well in the following two races. In both of his previous races, Alan McCabe’s trainee seized runner-up place.
On March 16, the spectators at Southwell saw him falling second by one and a half lengths in the Free Horse Racing Bets With FreeBetting.co.uk Claiming Stakes.
Samasana is out of rhythm after her three consecutive wins last month. The latest of her victories came on February 21, when the three-year-old filly beat 5-4 favourite, Pelican Rock, by three lengths in the Golf And Racing At Southwell Handicap.
In her subsequent two races this month, she was unimpressive, falling third and fifth respectively. Daddy Warbucks is making his seasonal return after staying out of action after more than five months. He went to a long break after grabbing his maiden success
in October last year.
Although there are some powerful runners in the line-up, Dansili Dutch and Flying Pickets are the strongest contenders. No matter who wins, it is going to be a rip-roaring event.
