The 28-year-old central defender is delighted by agreeing to move to the Bavarian giants in the summer transfer window, and has also heaped praise on Holger Badstuber.
Bayern Munich centre-back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dante-c10236 conceded that he has not yet adjusted at his new club, and suggested that he has made the best decision of his life to join Der FCB outfit from Borussia Monchengladbach.
The former Standard Liege star marked his league debut for the FC Hollywood side in their 3-0 thrashing of the newly promoted, Greuther Furth. He further added that Die Bayern’s game play is very distinct to that of his previous
club.
The Brazilian international claimed that he made a good choice in signing for the UEFA Champions League runners-up team. He stressed that he will put his maximum efforts for his new side and will try to meet the club’s and the
fans' expectations.
"Was it a good decision to join Bayern? Yes, definitely. I still have to prove my worth here, though, and live up to the people's expectations," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The versatile defender also noted that he needs to adapt to Die Roten’s game play, as the football philosophy is different to that of his former club. At the Allianz Arena they keep the ball and avoid being aggressive, and at Gladbach
the players were mostly urged to play a more risky game in defence to get a goal.
"I have to adapt to Bayern's style of play a bit more. Things are different here than at Gladbach. We enjoy a lot more possession and don't have to take many risks. At Gladbach, we were often forced to take some risks at the back,"
he mused.
The experienced player added that Holger Badstuber was very impressive in his new left-back role in the league opener. Badstuber normally plays centre-back but due to injuries, the German international played in the new position
to show his commitment to the Bundesliga team.
"Holger did a great http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. He's a very good player and an intelligent guy. He also has a great left foot," he finally concluded.
Badstuber is a very good defender and has a strong left foot. He has appeared in 90 games for Die Bayern and is also a regular in the national team.
