The Brazilian centre-back is unconcerned over the tough competition for places at the club and is looking forward to proving himself at his new club.
Bayern Munich spent heavily in this summer transfer window to acquire some of the best players in Europe to make sure they can knock-out Borussia Dortmund off their perch at the end of the next campaign. One of the signings made
was Dante, who had a sensational campaign with Borussia Monchengladbach last season.
The Bavarian giants had problems in the heart of defence throughout the course of the last campaign as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Van-Buyten-c10095 suffered a long-term injury at the very start of the previous season. Jerome Boateng was below par in his
displays for the Munich based outfit and it was evident in the end that the Reds desperately need another quality centre-back.
Dante insisted that he is not thinking about the tough competition for places in the squad. The player is focussed on putting in impressive displays in the future games to cement his place in the starting XI.  He added that tough
competition in better for the team as the players remain on their toes.
“I'm not even thinking about it. Every player has to do his best, and then the coach decides. Obviously, everyone wants to play, but if someone else is chosen instead, we have to accept it. Our goal is to win trophies. Everyone
has to act in the best interests of Bayern Munich,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Brazilian added that he would love to end his career at Allianz Arena. The defender stated that he still has a four-year contract at the club and is keen to extend his stay if the side want him.
“If it was offered, I'd take it at once (laughs). I have a four-year contract, and I'm delighted to be here. I'm not thinking about any other clubs. I'll give everything I have in these four years and attempt to repay the faith
shown in me,” he concluded.
