The mega marathon over a distance of 2 miles will start at 5:50 (GMT). A prize cheque of €6,900 is ready for the would-be winner.
Dara Tango is quite confident to compete against 23 rivals including Casimir Road, Johnnys Legacy, Call Rog, Cyprusormilan, Buachaill Alainn, Fantastic Bob, Jock Wilkinson, Landero, Sir Ladyswell, Ask Joe, Drive On Locky, Dushybeag, Esther´s Twilight, Green
Hornet, Supreme Milan, Definite Impulse, One Hit Wonder, Stella´s Delight, A Good Guess, Moonlone Lane, Thatching Dolly, Twelve Gold Bars and Cognomen.
The A. J. Martin-trained bay gelding has won 2 out of his total 15 starts to date. The five-year-old veteran runner started his career in December 2009. He broke his maiden in March 2010. He moved ahead to register the second triumph of his career in October
2011.
The talented horse excellently finished 3rd against 16 competitors in his last outing on March 22, 2012. At the moment, Dara Tango is awash with immense winning momentum which will help him make a big impact in today’s showdown. His chances to
finish first will be as high as 90 percent.
Among the other runners, Casimir Road and Johnnys Legacy are also likely to perform well in the race.
Casimir Road has been winless to date since making his debut in March 2011, however, the M. J. Grassick-trained bay gelding has registered some impressive performances during this period. The four-year-old talented horse elegantly gained a runner-up position
on February 3, 2012. He finished 3rd in his last start on April 14.
On the other hand, Johnnys Legacy broke his maiden on February 10, 2012. The trainee of Mrs John Harrington proceeded to grab a runner-up rank along with a third on February 17 and March 9 respectively.
In is anticipated that the race will be packed with twists and turns but Dara Tango is likely to manoeuvre success to his favour convincingly. Good luck to all the horses.
