Daredevils snap up Gulam Bodi and Glenn Maxwell for IPL-5 – Cricket News Update

The Daredevils team coach TA Sekar confirmed the signings in a press release on Monday. While speaking to media reporters, Sekar lavished praise on both Maxwell and Bedi, and hopes that both players will prove to be a valuable addition
in the team.

The 23-year-old Victorian all-rounder averages 25.44 with the bat in 14 List A matches to date. His tally of 229 List A runs also includes two half centuries. He has also picked up nine wickets at an average of 37.55. He also holds
the record for the fastest half century in domestic one-day cricket, which came off just 17 balls, equalling Sanath Jayasuria’s ODI record.
"Gulam was the best available replacement, given that we had to find someone within Birt's base price," Sekar added further.
