Darfin Katie a renowned female greyhound racer of United Kingdom
There are many female greyhounds, famous for their tremendous runs and the victories they have achieved. Among them is a well known female greyhound, Darfin Katie, who has gained immense respect in the sport of greyhound racing.
The three-year-old b***h was in Ireland on the 15th of July, 2008. Her breeder, Mr. Finbarr Mc Laughlin, was also her owner.
The black and white b***h broke her maiden on the 7th of September, 2009, in Drumbo Park. She reached the wire by covering a distance of 335 meters in 19 minutes and 28 seconds.
The daughter of Crash out of Jo Hondo, Darfin Katie has been racing for United Kingdom since the start of her career, majority of her races held at Hove.
Numerous of times she performed tremendously and grabbed the spot light, and many times she couldn’t finish first for her trainer C Gardiner.
In year 2009 Darfin Katie, experienced two first positions and she finished third one time, all these races were held at the Drumbo Park Ireland racing track.
In the beginning of year 2010, Katie was not lucky in the races held at the Shelbourne Park, and finished fifth, on the 6th of February and 17th of March.
Katie has raced 61 times in the Hove Stadium, during these races she has given 16 hits, finishing second twenty two times.
Till now she has participated in many prestigious events, among them are few competition which were held between female dogs like, the Jazz Hurricane Ladies, Lady Flyaway Ladies – Duplicated, Angela, June & Betty Stakes, Maid of Seskin Ladies, Coral Ladies
Trophy – Final, Lil & Bert Bowen From Down Under Stakes Brighton Marina Village Trophy
Apart from the female racing she has participated in many races which were not bound to male or female greyhound racing, those are the Coral Brighton Belle - 2nd Semi-Final, Gardiner & Scardifield Trophy, the Chairman's Choice, the Good Friday Stayers, the
Two Sips Standard – Duplicated, Nuvolari Dog Of The Year, Peter Goddard's 80th Birthday Celebration Trophy.
Recently in the Coral Brighton Belle - 2nd Semi-Final the hound suffered from a very bad luck, she tried really hard to reach the wire in time but she reached four seconds late then the winner Airforce Posh.
This 515 meter race was held on the 18th of August 2010, previously in the Coral Brighton Belle Heat 5 where she finished second made her enter into the semifinals.
In both race she was defeated by her strong contender, Airforce Posh by a very less distance of which was of four seconds.
Although the young greyhound has experienced good and bad times but in the future her fans and her trainer are expecting a high quality performance from her side.
