Dari Townsend pockets Men’s 200m IM crown in Georgia: 2011 USA Swimming Winter Nationals
Dari Townsend of Tucson Ford Deal smacked his rivals on the opening evening session of the 2011 USA Swimming Winter Nationals, in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, December 1.
Townsend was up against Seba Rousseau and Eric Shanteau of Trojan Swim Club in the final match, as Dari got off to a strong start in the pool and knocked out his opponents by banging the finishing divider in a winning time of 1 minute and 59.27 seconds.
In the meantime, Rousseau claimed silver medal in the respective race by thumping the finishing wall in a mark of 1 minute and 59.55 seconds and the bronze title went to Shanteau in a spot of 2 minutes and 00.29 seconds, respectively.
In addition, Scott Clary of Fast Swim Team earned fourth place honour in the respective splash by claiming the finishing barricade in a time of 2 minutes and 00.76 seconds and the fifth place went to Jack Brown in a blot of 2 minutes and 00.87 seconds, respectively.
Moreover, Ryan Lochte grabbed sixth spot in a time of 2 minutes and 01.42 seconds and the seventh place honour went to William Harris of Trojan Swim Club in a time of 2 minutes and 01.48 seconds.
Rober Margalis of Fast Swim Team grabbed eighth spot in the respective meet by claiming the finishing barricade in a time of 2 minutes and 01.49 seconds, while the ninth place honour went to Christ Burckle of Tucson Ford Deal in a spot of 2 minutes and 03.22
seconds. Moreover, Adam Ritter of Tucson Ford Deal finished tenth spot by thumping the finishing barrier in a time of 2 minutes and 03.67 seconds.
On the other hand, the eleventh place honour went to Jacob Pebley in a mark of 2 minutes and 02.14 seconds. Joseph Bentz of Dynamo Swim Club got twelfth position in the respective swim by banging the finishing fence in a time of 2 minutes and 02.76 seconds.
Tom Kremer got thirteenth spot in a time of 2 minutes and 02.89 seconds, while the fourteenth place honour went to Scott Weltz in a time of 2 minutes and 03.22 seconds.
