Darijo Srna believes Shakhtar Donetsk can forget about UEFA Champions League elimination and focus on to win other silverware this season
Shakhtar Donetsk failed to progress from the UEFA Champions League group stage despite winning their last group stage match against Apoel FC. The Miners defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darijo-Srna-c10266, has lamented their early exit from the European tournament,
and has tipped his side to win the Ukrainian Premier League along with the Ukrainian Cup this season.
Shakhtar have been regular participants in Europe and have achieved good results in recent times. They claimed the UEFA Cup in 2009 and reached the quarter final of the continental tournament last year.
As they don't have Champions League football to contend with, Srna has tipped the Moles to concentrate on the domestic league and the Ukrainian Cup. Shakhtar are at the second spot on the league table and trail the league leaders,
Dynamo Kyiv, by a point.
The Croatian footballer believes that the Moles have plenty more to offer in the remaining tournaments, and assured the fans of further hard work once the league resumes in March 2012.
“It’s really disappointing for us to bear the consequences of a shock exit from the Champions League, but if we win the domestic championship and the Ukrainian Cup, we will still consider this a successful season.” The former Hajduk

The Ukrainian outfit managed to win the Ukrainian Cup last season after winning 2-0 against their fierce league rivals, Dynamo Kyiv. Srna believes that winning the prestigious Cup for the eighth time will only increase their confidence.
Shakhtar have already reached the Ukrainian Cup quarter final after defeating the White-blues this season on away turf and appear to be the most feared opponent at the moment.
Srna revealed that the Ukrainian outfit are ready to bounce back after their poor Champions League run and admitted that he is expecting a good upcoming Euro 2012 campaign.
“I am also expecting a great success with Croatian national team at Euro 2012.” Srna concluded.
