Daring Indian looking out for seasonal debut victory in the Kempton.Co.UK (Supported By Betfair) Handicap at Kempton
The Class 4 Kempton.Co.UK (Supported By Betfair) Handicap is to be held at Kempton over a mile and four furlongs on Tuesday, 20th March. Taking part today is the lineup of ten with the purse worth £4, 528.
Daring Indian, Zamindar’s four-year-old Chestnut gelding out of mare Anasazi, is one of those entries who is cracking into the new season with a victory at Kempton as the final race of the 2011 season.
He took away the Win Thousands Of Sports Experiences At Bluesq.Com Handicap on 18th December at Kempton over a mile and two furlongs. He broke from the first stall and led the field of six by 1 ¼ lengths while riding with Stevie Donohoe. Finishing
the closest to the winner was Emma’s Gift.
Striding for the third position after the winner was Shieldmaiden and the 5/2 favourite of the race, Songburst, ended fourth.
The four-year-old is racing his seasonal debut today and if his experience at Kempton will help him making it through the wire before the rest or not will unfold soon.
Another worthwhile entry on the lineup is Tappanappa, High Chaparral’s five-year-old bay gelding out of mare Itsibitsi, he has already struck his seasonal debut but the next attempt had him failing dreadfully. A fresh failure is all the more reason for getting
back into form.
Both his starts have been at Lingfield and today he will be racing at Kempton for the first time.
Tappanappa was the 2/11 favourite in the Lingfield Park Median Auction Maiden Stakes on 25th January at Lingfield over a mile and four furlongs. The win did not come easy as he was only ¾ of a length ahead from the runner up, Red Shuttle. Resting
the race third was Candelita.
On 25th February, he finished sixth in the Get Your Bet On At Bluesquare.Com Winter Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield over a mile and two furlongs. The race was won by the 3/1 favourite of the race, Junoob, who was joined by Tinshu on the other
end of the wire.
Whether Tappanappa gets into the winning form today or its Daring Indian who gets to claim his seasonal debut will become news soon.
