Dark Ages set to stand first in Selling Stakes
Dark Ages is keen to make a big impact at Folkestone racecourse where she will participate in Follow Us On Tiwitter @Starsports.Bet Selling Stakes on Thursday, April 12.
George Baker’s brilliant filly is going to run after a long interval of almost five months. Since grabbing 3rd top spot each in her last two outings during October 2011, the three-year-old sprinter has been resting and going through some tough
training sessions.
Currently, all eyes in the betting market are hinged on her comeback performance which is quite unpredictable for many. But one thing is clear that the filly possesses a lot of talent which will help her thrive today.
In the high-voltage contest over a distance of 7 furlongs, Dark ages will compete against One More Roman, Rainbow Riches, Multifac´eted, Jacasa Too, Kuwait Moon and Tumbleowtashoes. The action will commence at 3:20 (GMT).
Since making her debut in April 2011, the favourite filly has been a consistent performer. She broke her maiden on May 29 and went on to perform well in the subsequent outings.
The way Dark Ages ran in her last two outings was evident of the filly’s inherent racing skills which she is going to capitalise on in Selling Stakes. Her chances to finish first are as high as 90 percent.
Out of the filly’s competitors, One More Roman and Rainbow Riches look to be in fairly offensive moods.
One More Roman has won two out of his total 15 starts to date. The g*y Kelleway-trained bay colt excellently bagged two consecutive runner-up ranks each in February and March 2012. He stepped ahead to finish 3rd and 6th in the two
subsequent outings.
On the other hand, Rainbow riches grabbed 9th position each in two back-to-back races during January 2012. Roger Curtis’ bay filly finished 5th in the last start of her career on March 23.
Come what may, success seems to be leaning towards Dark Ages. If the filly does not make any mistake on the track, she will be able to seal a convincing success. Good luck to her.
