Dark hair to light hair ????

okay so my current hair color is this: http://www.aolcdn.com/pmms/productpagemovies/02/00/2499611 , whats the best way to go about it ? and i like to keep my budget low too..... please help!!!

Buy bleach and take thin strands of your hair and put the bleach on it. Do this all over your head and leave in for about 20-25 mins. You're better off going to a professional though...

Ok... get a light ash brown SEMI permanent color (any brand) apply as directed to all the hair... this should tone down the red tones... then get one of those kits that you just paint the hair strands that you want to be lighten... second pic the hair is pretty dark and had some very light brown hi-lites thru it...

You saying you just dyed your hair... you might want to wait a week before doing this... during the nest week any dye residue in your hair will finish washing out and your hair will lighten up... then tone down the red and and the hi-lites as I described above.

the best thing to do is but some lemon juice in your hair with conditioner and let it sit for a while if you can sit in the sun if not just let it set or you could mix a very little amount of hydrogen peroxide with conditioner and that shall work to

Buy two boxes

And acutally leave it for about an hour..

not the time it gives you..

You'll have to do it a few times to get ALL the red tones out.

You should do a little at home highlighting.

It is very easy and you can fill out the short survey to see what color is right for you. You say that you want to stay away from red tones, so just look for COOLER shades. Also stay away from anything that says "golden."

I am sure you will do fine, but if your hair is super long, buy two boxes. Its about $15 each.
