Dark picture taking on stage

Question

using canon rebel xti, taking pictures of play on stage,having trouble setting camera to take good pictures with the lighting that is on stage. to far away for flash. using a AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 lens. Pictures are coming out a little dark. what setting should I try.
