Im trying to choose the color scheme for my wedding. My fave color is pink, and I have always dreamed of my bouquet being solid red roses, and since the wedding is in september i think it needs a darker color too. So Im thinking about light pink, dark red and chocolate brown. Any thoughts on how well those would go together? They look good in my head, I just always second guess myself lol

  1. Go to your local florist, let them know what you are thinking and would like to see some flowers those colors (if they don't have brown ask for some brown ribbon to put in it) and see for yourself. I worked at a flower shop for years, and when potential brides came in we would always love to help if it meant a potential wedding to do the flowers for. I'm sure they will be happy to help you.

  2. Leave out the red. Overkill.

  3. Dark Red, Pink, Chocolate Brown would be beautiful.

The pink will help offset the two darker colours.

go down to your local paint store or home depot and get some of those paint sample colour swatches and look at the colours side by side.

  4. Black, orange and black were my colors, the wife really dug it once the drug kicked in.  Guest still talk to this day.

  5. pink and chocolate brown is everywhere so it would be easy to get your orders from online if you wish...favors to invitations to cake examples...use that your color scheme with red roses for your flowers...i can imagine it looking really great!  Great idea!

  6. sounds lovely. like a dusty rose would go fantastic with wine/cranberry red. and chocolate brown is perfect with both. i love it. should be gorgeous. congratulations!

  7. Those colors are all very nice.

I think that the pink will help offset the dark colors if you chose to go with a darker color scheme.

Pinks and browns go very well together. So that would be my top picks.

I wouldn't go with dark red though. Red in most countries mean bad luck and often death in weddings. So I would try to avoid it.

  8. My fave color is pink too, and I'm not really picturing red and pink together with brown. I like it when lighter colors are paired with brown, regardless of the "fall" theme. Your color scheme is whatever you want it to be! I personally like pink and brown alone together.
