Darling Grace geared up to win Betfair Classified Stakes
The William Haggas trained bay filly, Darling Grace, is fully determined to capitalise on the momentum produced by her last victory at Yarmouth in a bid to notch up top spot in the Betfair Classified Stakes that will be held at Kempton racecourse on Tuesday,
August 7. The Class 6 contest over 1 mile will commence at 5:55 (GMT).
The three-year-old young and enthusiastic runner will be offered a standard to slow track to show her guts. If wins, she will bag the cash prize worth £1,617. She is set to run against 13 rivals.
The daughter of Nayef out of Lady Grace started her career on August 28, 2011, finishing 3rd in the Toteplacepot Win Without Backing A Winner E B F Maiden Fillies' Stakes over 6 furlongs at Yarmouth.
After a couple of pathetic performances, the fantastic filly again gained a third at the same venue on June 14, 2012. That was the BetVictor For Best Prices Classified Stakes.
After finishing 5th in the Mobile At bet365.com Fillies' Handicap on July 11, the Mrs Deborah June James owned maverick sprinter marvellously broke her maiden by winning the Eastanglianairambulance.org.uk Fillies' Handicap (Div II) at Yarmouth
on July 24.
Darling Grace has never experienced any slow track in her 6-race career; thus, she will take some time to read the race conditions. If she manages to settle well, she will have up to 90 percent chances to thrive.
Among the other runners, Autumn Fire looks to be the strongest one who is still cherishing the memories of her outstanding victory in the £32 Bonus At 32Red.com Median Auction Maiden Stakes, held at Chepstow on May 23, 2012.
The Andrew Balding trained bay filly went on to finish 4th in the Bathwick Tyres Racing Excellence "Hands And Heels" Apprentice Series Handicap that took place at Salisbury on June 17.
Thus, the daughter of Avonbridge out of Brand is expected to give enough tough time to Darling Grace. A fierce battle is likely between the two. Success will require extra-ordinary performance. Let us see who dares to thrive. Good luck to both the worthy
contestants.
