Aston Villa striker, Darren Bent, has revealed that he has no intentions of leaving Villa Park this summer. He denied all the rumours linking him with a departure from the club saying that his time with Villa has been quite enjoyable and there is no reason
for him to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
The former Sunderland striker has had a decent enough campaign for Aston Villa ever since he joined the club during this year’s January transfer window. He was the centre of attraction during the winters but was eventually snapped by Villa, who were hovering
around the relegation zone before his arrival.
Since landing at Villa Park, Bent has managed nine League goals so far from 16 appearances, which signals the remarkable talent of the 27-year-old. He certainly had a huge impact on the club’s proceedings as he enabled them to finish in the top half of the
table after struggling for a long time.
There were some reports suggesting a move away for Bent in the wake of possible transfers of two of Villa’s top players, Ashley Young and Stewart Downing. Winger Ashley Young has reportedly drawn interest from Premier League giants, Manchester United, while
former Middleborough man, Stewart Downing, has invited interest from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. It is likely that the duo would take the step forward this summer. Bent, on the other hand, confirmed that he would not make a switch again as he does not have any problem playing
at Villa Park in front of enthusiastic fans.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international added, "They [the fans] don't need to worry about me, I’m tired of moving around. I am at Aston Villa now and I have loved every minute I have been at the club. The people are nice and the staff are nice. It's a shame that a big
part of what brought me to the club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664 Houllier, has left. Every time I go to the training ground, I get a buzz and hopefully it will continue next season."
The former Tottenham Hotspur man vowed to be at his best during the upcoming season and reckoned that the club should recruit a couple of new faces to an already impressive looking squad.
