shows their support for manager who has struggled to steer the club away from the relegation zone since taking over in September.
Darren Bent has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances this season for Sunderland. His speed and good goal conversion rate will add the much needed power to Aston Villa's lagging attack that has remained lacklustre in the Premier League
this season. He has completed his move to Villa Park after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical and signed a four and half year deal. Aston Villa is currently languishing in 17th place just above relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Steve Bruce was left fuming after losing his leading marksman and feels that he was let down by the forward. He told the reporters, “It's hugely disappointing that Darren has decided that his future lies away from Sunderland
and the players, our supporters and the club as a whole have every right to feel massively let down.”
The former Tottenham and Charlton striker, who began his playing career with Ipswich, said: "I'm delighted to join Aston Villa. This is a big, big opportunity for me”.
