Influential Aston Villa striker, Darren Bent, has hailed the Villans’ potential transfer target, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charles-c8808 N’Zogbia, and believes that the Frenchman has all the attributes to become an immediate hit at the Villa Park.
Aston Villa are in desperate need of a wide player as both their wingers, Ashley Young and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 respectively.
The Villans sees Wigan Athletic’s unsettled winger, N’Zogbia, as the best and economical transfer target to replace the outgoing duo. Moreover, Villa manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 McLeish is also a huge fan of the French international. The Scotsman tried to sign N’Zogbia
for Birmingham City last season but the deal fell through at the eleventh hour.
McLeish has once again been heavily linked with N’Zogbia and has already offered £9 million for the French winger. However, Wigan Athletic have rejected Villa’s offer and demanded £10 million.
Bent reckons that it would be a tremendous achievement should Aston Villa manage to sign N’Zogbia in the current transfer market.
The English striker is relishing the prospect of playing and linking with N’Zogbia at the Villa Park next season. Bent believes that the Frenchman is one of the best wingers in the Barclays Premier League.
“N'Zogbia would be fantastic. He's a top quality player who is always getting linked to top clubs. If we can get him down here that will be tremendous for myself, being a striker and getting service and also for Aston Villa,” the 27-year-old stated.
Bent believes that along with Charles N’Zogbia, the Villans’ young starlet http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marc-Albrighton-c23470 can also fill the void left by Young and Downing. The English striker hailed Albrighton’s impressive 2010/11 season despite the youngster being the understudy of Young
and Downing.
Bent is hopeful that the 21-year-old will be able to continue his impressive form next season and is confident that Albrighton will drastically improve next season by getting more first team action.
“Marc Albrighton is coming through, had a tremendous season last season and is only going to improve. But it's going to be a big season for Marc, who impressed me a lot when I came in,” Bent concluded.
It has been recently reported that Aston Villa’s transfer offer for Charles N’Zogbia was accepted and the Frenchman is likely to join the Birmingham club in the next few days.
