http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DM-Bravo-c1386, West Indies' left-handed batsman, is geared up to showcase his potential in the forthcoming ICC World T20 2012, and claims that Sri Lankan conditions suit his stroke-play.
The 23-year-old cricketer has been out of international cricket since the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 earlier this year, where the stylish left-hander injured his groin.
After recovering from the injury, Bravo has been immediately called back to the side for the mega event, which starts on September 18
at Hambantota.
The budding cricketer made his Test debut in November 2010 in the Island and scored a promising half-century. Bravo has pleasant memories attached with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 and wants to do well in the upcoming illustrious tournament.
"I made a good start to my Test career in Sri Lanka a few years ago so it is a place that has good memories for me," the left-hander said. "I enjoy the conditions, the atmosphere and the overall environment there. I have done quite well in Asia in general
so this World Cup is something that I'm looking forward to."
Bravo has so far represented West Indies in 19 Tests, 40 One Day Internationals and 5 T20s, scoring more than two thousand runs with impressive averages in all three formats. The cricketer from Trinidad & Tobago is considered to be one of the most talented
young players in present-day cricket, but whether he is able to translate that skill into performance in the years to come, remains to be seen.
The left-hander is all set to play a couple of practice matches for Trinidad & Tobago on Friday and Saturday, which should give him handy preparation for the World T20.
"I will try to use those two matches to get fully back into the groove. I played in the T20 tournament in Trinidad recently and I felt comfortable at the crease again," Bravo added.
