http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 on a high – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 batsman Darren Bravo is determined to turn his starts into successful innings, and has expressed the desire to end the ongoing 3-match Test series against England on a high note.
“I think I have gotten used to the conditions more. But it's now a matter of me capitalising on the starts that I get,” he said. “I got a few starts in the two Tests, but I wasn't able to carry on. We have one more Test to play, so hopefully I can make
use of whatever start I get and end the series on a high.”
Aside from having to adjust to the colder climate of England, the young and developing West Indies team went into the tour with the awareness that they were going up against the top-ranked Test team in the world.
23-year-old Bravo displayed a promising performance in the practice match against the England http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 on May 10 at Northampton, scoring 51 and 57. However, the first Test match against England, played at Lord’s in London, saw him registering individual totals
of 29 and 21 – the tourists eventually went on to lose the match by 5 wickets.
The second Test held a similar fate for Darren Sammy’s men – despite posting a decent 370 in their first innings, the team was unable to restrict the Poms, and conceded a 9-wicket loss at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.  Bravo’s performance appeared to have
deteriorated, as this time around, he could only manage contributions of 3 and 22.
However, his recent outing in the tour match the West Indies played against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Leicestershire-c807 at Grace Road on June 2, saw the left-hander registering his highest total of the tour yet – a 66, which suggests a growing familiarity with the conditions, and an
upward trend in terms of performance.
“I was happy with my performance, but disappointed with the way it ended,” he said, going on to add that he had been working hard in the nets, and with the hard work having shown in his performance against Leicestershire, he hoped to continue in a similar
vein.
