Keep that headband on Johnson
Joe Johnson had a solid game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Hawks shooting guard played with a head band, no not to impress his fans but to protect his head injury, but the head band had a magical effect on him. Even the fans wouldn’t let Johnson take
off the headband when the player was about to change it at halftime. The 29-year-old scored 36 points as the Hawks whipped the Milwaukee Bucks a 110-85 loss at Philips Arena, Atlanta.
The player had a fiery first half to start with and notched 28 points before the intermission. He scooped out five 3-pointers in the second quarter and pinned six of nine 3’s overall.
Pacers’ hot trio
The Indiana Pacers came up with something big against the New York Knicks; they combined three stars to play a game that was full of offence. Tyler Hansbrough, Darren Collison and Danny Granger combined for 80 points to knock off the Knicks. Hansbrough scooped
out 30, Granger shot 26 whereas Collison pinned 24 points in the impressive surge.
Bogans’ fight against criticism
Keith Bogans overcame all his shooting discrepancies and shortcomings cooling off the criticism for his low scoring average, 4.1. The player scored his season-high 17 points in Chicago Bulls’ big win over the Washington Wizards. Not only that, the player
also grabbed five rebounds, dished out two assists and made two steals. The guard went season high 5 for 10 from the long range and played 28 plus minutes as his team became the first position holder of the Eastern Conference.
The player shrugged off the criticism he was facing before and said, "It doesn't frustrate me at all. (As long as) I'm being talked about."
Roy’s post-surgery surge
Brandon Roy scored 21 points in 27 plus minutes against the http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2011/03/portland_104_dallas_101_lamarc.html, signaling a return to form. He recorded a 9 for 17 shooting from the field and pinned 17 of his total 21 points in the second half. He went 7 for 10 after the break that also includes a driving layup that he clinched to break the tie that
held the teams at 76-all. This gave the Blazers a big push ahead and the score was just tied once more after that and at that time too, Roy broke the ice.
As teammates praised the player’s performance, Nate McMillian was quoted as saying, “That’s the best I have seen him this year.”
