Darren Kelly, Vladislav Dragojlovic: Top players from FIBA Asia Champions Cup Quarterfinals (Part-2)
Iran’s Mahram vs. Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad
The second quarterfinal on Friday was played between the two times defending champions Mahram of Iran and Saudi Arabia’s outfit Al Ittihad. Six players from Mahram landed double figures on the night as Al Ittihad got blown away by a 102-65 decision. The top performers from the game are discussed below:
Darren Kelly
Despite of Darren Kelly’s game-high 24 points, the Al Ittihad lost the game by a massive 37-point margin. In nearly 34 minutes of play, the prolific guard also handed out 6 assists, highest in the game, and supported the team on both the offensive and defensive sides of the court.
Darren was absolutely brilliant from the field and responded magnificently to the very few opportunities that were left open by the Iranian team. Darren connected on 56 percent (9-of-16) shots from the field, landed 5-of-7 shots from the free throw line and also buried one attempt from beyond the arc. He also had two steals and two rebounds on the defensive end.
Vladislav Dragojlovic
The second significant performance of the game also came from the Saudi outfit in the form of a Vladislav Dragojlovic. The 32-year-old centre teamed up with the star of the night Darren Kelly and erupted with a tremendous double-double. Dragojlovic finished the game with 19 points and clutched 11 boards. Despite of the brilliant performances from the imported duo, the Saudi’s failed to make an impression as the no other player scored more than 7 points. The burly centre shot at nearly 56 percent from the field and had one steal.
Samb Cheikh Tidiane

The Iranians showcased a superb team effort and were led by Samb Cheikh Tidiane. Tidiane racked up a team-high 18 points, gathered 5 rebounds, dished out 3 assists and blocked 3 shots in nearly 22 minutes of play. He was 8-of-14 on field goals and also buried a three.
Christopher Williams
Christopher Williams was not the top scorer for the Iranians for once. However, he helped the team in the back court. Williams erupted with 14 points, 6 assists and 5 boards to put his team on the frontline.
Oshin Sahakian
Oshin Sahakian was given more playing time in one of the most crucial games for the Mahram as he capitalized on the opportunity that was provided to him. Sahakian had a double-double with 10 points 10 rebounds in over 25 minutes of playing time.
